Some pretty words here to make everyone feel all warm and fluffy. Unfortunately they've completely overlooked the fact that the remaining BFA students are slowly but surely being squeezed out of the buildings at the Wicksteed St campus as Tupoho reclaim their site, while budget cuts have meant that students are virtually on materials 'rations' and are simply not getting what they're paying for with their fees.
All the rhetoric about 'Future Forward' is doing absolutely nothing to address the most important moment in anyone's existence, the PRESENT!

Quentin Lind's prize was a Gift Certificate for Photo gear at Wellington Photo Supply!!! Other prizes were provided by Rapido Coffee House, Left Bank Art Supply and Paiges Book Store all in Whanganui. The juror for the prizes was well known Whanganui photographer Leigh Mitchel-Anyon who just happens to also hold a BFA from the Quay School of Art in Photography himself!

Was our turn to face the Dragon's Den panelists today. Talk about laxative. But there was gold in what they had to say and the advice offered. Hats off to Joanne for organising a terrifying yet most valuable few hours. Maybe now I might break that streak of six straight job interviews only to get the "thanks but no-thanks call".
